Our Story
1940s photo - 27th April 1946 the first band parade
After nearly 80 years as part of St John Ambulance, the Isle of Sheppey St John
Ambulance Band became an independent organisation: the Isle of Sheppey Band.
This new chapter allows us to open our doors to children, young people, and adults
across Sheppey, offering inclusive opportunities to learn music, drill, and teamwork
in a supportive, intergenerational environment.
We continue to represent Sheppey at parades and engagements across Kent and the UK,
alongside regular rehearsals, concerts, and community events.
